We were excited to head to the islands after some nice days of rest. We had an amazing ride along the coast. We went through rockport, stopped in a coffeshop and then looked at some amazing photography by John Martell, who gifted us with some pictures of the wildlife he captures along his través. There are amazing birds here: blue herons, pelicans, flamingos, and other species. There is a hummingbird festival in September when the hummingbirds stop in the island during their migration. I love nothing more than to be in nature, and take in all the beauty that this earth has to share. It is so real, and mágical to have your senses come alive, smelling all the trees, flowers, hearing the sounds of birds, feeling the winds on your face, seeing the water on your side. It is real, it is nourishing to your soul, music to your heart. The thing I miss most when traveling are my friends and family. Especially during the times of the holidays. I dedicate this post to my family, my friends, and all the people out there that don't have families or a place to call home. I pray for you all, and to know how much you have filled my heart with joy and love. I miss you all and I feel a sense of home when I'm outside with nature, connecting to what is real, alive, and it gives me peace. I pray we all can enjoy the beauties of the world.
Gerardo and I will be spending our Christmas in Port Aransas. A beautiful, quaint little beach on an island in Texas. We are camping right on the beach. There is small town nearby, where everyone drives a golf cart. It reminds me of a town I lived in Peachtree city Georgia. How fitting for Christmas. I'm so grateful to spend this Chrismas with my love, enjoying the outdoors, and beauty of the ocean. We had a vey big wind store one evening and thought our tent was going to blow away. Thankfully, we survived. We are resting, relaxing, and enjoying this time here. We also had some amazing help from "Big Shell Bikes" here on the island. Thank you! May you all be blessed with peace, health, joy, and love. Letting go of anything that does not serve you for the highest good. Let humbleness, gratefullness, forgiveness, and love fill your mind, heart and spirit. To my family, I love you and I am thinking of you! Merry Christmas.... Sendíng you a rainbow kiss and sparkly hug.
