The next morning we were packing up and the Catfish Fairies told us to come by their lot before we went. They wanted to send us off with some more catfish. After packing we went over. They were in the midst of cutting, gutting, slicing, serious business. They explained that they only take the filet part of the fish. He guts, and gets the meat while she slices it perfectly. I looked up and saw a bald eagle in the tree. There are a lot of them in Louisiana. I feel they are protecting and guiding us. It’s always a good sign to see a bald eagle. We set off on our bikes with catfish and all. We had a pretty chill day of riding. We realized we were not going to make it to our planned route and also realized there was no camping anywhere nearby. Gerardo and I had to decide whether we crossed the bridge or found somewhere to camp. We both agreed we did not feel it was the proper time to cross and decided we were going to find safety. We saw a church and though maybe we can camp there but no one was there. Then we saw a sign that said “RV park” Short term and long term available. Gerardo called the number and spoke to a man named Ruben…. He asked if we could set up a tent for the night. He was more than willing to let us… He told us to set up on lot 2. When we found our space, another friendly fairy showed up. He said that we could actually use the RV in the back. We now no longer had to set up a tent. We got to stay in the awesome RV equipped with stove, hot water, bed, couch, and electricity….. We made another delicious catfish dinner and some mustard collard greens we bought for $1.25 on the way. Another blessed day to say the least. I pray that this continues. Thank you universe.
